A sneak peek at a famous X-Men base was posted by a team member from the set of Avengers: Doomsday. In Marvel Studios’ upcoming crossover film, five significant superhero groups will be featured, including the X-Men. Actors from the Fox X-Men films, like Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, and James Marsden as Cyclops, are set to reprise their roles in Avengers: Doomsday.
Although details about the mutants’ part remain mysterious, whispers suggest potential insights into how they might be integrated, possibly hinting at an epic confrontation between the X-Men and the Avengers in upcoming movies.
Even though filming for Avengers 5 is ongoing, renowned cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel has posted a fresh behind-the-scenes snapshot on Instagram, which appears to be the X-Mansion (as suggested by the broken statues). This makes it the first officially released picture offering a glimpse of this significant X-Men location.
The image seems to show the apparent destruction of the X-Mansion’s courtyard, which was spotted in the secret aerial footage from the filming location of Avengers 5.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the X-Mansion will feature prominently in “Avengers: Doomsday,” aligning with an earlier tip from trusted insider Daniel Richtman suggesting that key scenes will unfold at this significant X-Men locale.
According to a different account by Richtman, it is suggested that Doctor Doom plans to employ the Sentinels as his covert weapon in the battle against the X-Men during Avengers: Doomsday.
Here’s a detailed inspection of the X-Mansion, captured in a snapshot from 2019’s Dark Phoenix🙂
Besides the previously mentioned X-Men actors, Avengers: Doomsday boasts an impressive lineup of both new and recurring Marvel Cinematic Universe stars. Leading this ensemble are Robert Downey Jr., portraying Dr. Doom, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, and Lewis Pullman as Bob (also known as Sentry). Additionally, there are several other talented actors joining the cast.
The specifics of the storyline remain secret for now, however, it’s anticipated that the narrative will focus on a clash pertaining to the Multiverse, with Dr. Doom taking a pivotal role in the drama unfolding.
How the X-Mansion Will Be Used in Avengers: Doomsday
Since the X-Mansion holds significant importance within the X-Men universe, it’s anticipated that this notable setting will significantly contribute to the introduction of key characters at the onset of Avengers: Doomsday.
It’s likely that the early parts of the X-Men movie will take place at the X-Mansion, serving to introduce each character and set the stage for their relationships.
From the collection of videos and images you see here, it can be deduced that a significant battle between the Sentinels and the X-Men is likely to take place at the X-Mansion. This assumption is strengthened by the damaged statues shown in Newton Thomas Sigel’s Instagram post.
During the upcoming battle, it’s likely that the X-Mansion will sustain heavy damage or might even be demolished. However, its appearance in “Avengers: Doomsday” is anticipated to make a lasting impression, symbolizing its significance within X-Men history. Eventually, the mansion will be reconstructed as part of Marvel Studios’ reinvention of the X-Men team during Phase 7.
