As a long-time sneaker enthusiast and avid follower of the sneaker scene, I’ve seen my fair share of collaborations between athletes and brands, but Nigel Sylvester’s upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Firewood Orange” collaboration is one that truly excites me. Having grown up riding BMX bikes and being inspired by Sylvester’s fearless style and creativity, I can appreciate the synergy between his passion for biking and Jordan Brand’s iconic sneaker designs.
The “Firewood Orange” colorway is a bold choice that adds a fresh twist to the classic Air Jordan 4 silhouette, and I can only imagine how well it will complement Sylvester’s bike-inspired motif on the heel of the shoe. The fact that this collaboration has been in the works for years now, with Sylvester having already released two Air Jordan 4 RM colorways, makes me even more eager to see what he and Jordan Brand have cooked up together.
I’ve been following Nigel Sylvester since his early BMX days, and I can’t help but feel a sense of pride seeing him collaborate with such a legendary brand like Jordan Brand. It’s always inspiring to see athletes using their platforms to create something unique and meaningful, and I have no doubt that this collaboration will be a hit among sneakerheads and biking enthusiasts alike.
On a lighter note, I can’t help but think about how much my wallet is going to suffer next year when these drop! But hey, a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do to stay stylish on the bike trails, right? 😉

Latest News: It’s now been approximately seven months since we discussed the speculation about Nigel Sylvester partnering with Jordan Brand on his own Air Jordan 4 collaboration. Since then, he has launched two Air Jordan 4 RM colorways, thereby introducing this new design to the sneaker market. As the year 2025 draws closer, we have a sneak peek at what’s coming up from his project that centers around the original AJ4. As hinted by the initial leak, his interpretation of the shoe features it in a vibrant “Firewood Orange” color across what appears to be a suede upper, while “Sail” accents are prominent on a substantial part of the midsole. The release is rumored to take place on March 23 of next year via Nike SNKRS and various retailers at an initial price of $225 USD. Keep an eye out for further updates and official confirmation.
BMX star Nigel Sylvester has been partnering with Jordan Brand for quite some time, and his 2018 release of the Air Jordan 1 High OG was a significant milestone. Now, it seems he’s planning to elevate his collaboration even further, teaming up with the Jumpman crew to unveil the upcoming Air Jordan 4 RM. This includes a new project that features a low-top version of the popular silhouette, which will be a result of Nigel’s own creative input.
Beyond all this anticipation, sneaker leakers zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files have recently announced that a pair of Air Jordan 4s designed by Sylvester is in production as well. Although it won’t be released until 2025, a new “Firewood Orange” color scheme for the shoe has been unveiled, as shown in the mock-up image above. As of now, details about the design elements and color blocking have not been disclosed. However, it is speculated that his signature “BIKE AIR” motif will appear on the heel again, with the primary colors being “Firewood Orange,” “Sail,” and “Cinnabar.
As I write this, neither Nigel Sylvester nor Jordan Brand have officially confirmed that the “Firewood Orange” colorway of the Air Jordan 4 will be available for purchase. However, there are whispers that it might become available next spring through Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Keep an eye out for a sneak peek at the shoes as we wait for its official unveiling.
