First Look at the Nike Ja 2

As a devoted fan of Ja Morant and Nike Basketball, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of his second signature shoe, the Nike Ja 2. Last year, we were introduced to the Nike Ja 1, a well-received low-top sneaker that served as Morant’s most affordable signature model. However, the wait for its sequel has been prolonged – over a year, in fact.

Approximately a year ago, Nike Basketball and Ja Morant initiated their partnership with the debut of the Nike Ja 1 sneaker. This low-top shoe was positively received as Nike’s most affordable signature model at the time and has consistently been released since then. However, the anticipated arrival of a successor to the Ja 1 was delayed by a year. Although Nike hasn’t made any official statements regarding the reason for this delay, it could be due to Morant’s off-court issues that resulted in an NBA suspension for 25 games and a season-ending shoulder injury.

As a long-time sneaker enthusiast and follower of basketball culture, I’m thrilled to share my excitement about Morant’s latest Nike signature shoe – the Nike Ja 2. Having been impressed by his first shoe, I eagerly anticipated this second release, and @prm.cotd and Sole Retriever have not disappointed!

Currently, Nike Basketball has kept quiet about the release details of the Nike Ja 2 in the “Stargazer” colorway. Keep an eye out for announcements, including images, as we anticipate the shoe to become available starting October 3 on Nike SNKRS and selected stores, priced at $120 USD.
