First Look at the Scarr’s Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 Low in Black

Summary

  • Scarr’s Pizza and Nike have created a second colorway of their cult-favorite Air Force 1 Low collaboration
  • The pair was spotted on the feet of Scarr’s Pizza founder Scarr Pimentel
  • There’s currently no word on a potential retail release

In 2019, Scarr’s Pizza and Nike teamed up for a highly restricted Air Force 1 Low, and they’ve reunited for another collaboration: Over the weekend, founder of Scarr’s Pizza, Scarr Pimentel, was seen sporting an all-black version of the partnership. This new edition swaps out the white leather base of the initial collaboration with a sleek black leather construction. However, many details remain consistent, including a double-layered Swoosh, an embroidered logo on the heel, the pizzeria’s phone number on the forefoot, a three-colored Air symbol on the midsole, and a gum sole.

However, attentive viewers will notice several modifications too, such as a revised address on the tongue – Scarr’s moved from number 22 Orchard to number 35 Orchard in 2023 – a fresh New York City flag design on the heel tab, which has been given a sleek patent leather finish, and a darker hue of rubber used for the sole.

At present, it’s unclear if the latest Scarr’s Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 low collaboration will hit retail stores, though history suggests that, adhering to the pattern of the initial colorway, it might be extremely rare, limited exclusively for friends and family. The first joint project between Scarr’s Pizza and Nike, unveiled in 2021, was produced in a limited run of just 48 pairs, with one selling for an astounding $121,649 at a Sotheby’s auction. Since then, Scarr’s has strengthened its bond with both Nike and the Jordan Brand, even hosting the early launch of the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” in November 2024 attended by Jordan Brand athlete Jazz Chisholm Jr. While whispers have persisted about a potential mass-market release in 2025, this remains unconfirmed as of now.
