First Trailer for Timothée Chalamet’s Bob Dylan Biopic Revealed

As a long-time fan of Bob Dylan and his music, I’m thrilled to see Timothée Chalamet take on the role of this musical icon in the upcoming biopic “A Complete Unknown.” Having grown up listening to Dylan’s classic songs and being inspired by his poetic lyrics, it feels surreal to witness the trailer for a film that promises to delve into the early days of the artist’s career.

I’m thrilled to share that the first trailer for the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, “A Complete Unknown,” has dropped! In this exciting project, Timothée Chalamet brings the iconic folk singer-songwriter to life on the silver screen, joining forces with Monica Barbaro and Elle Fanning. Can’t wait to see how they bring Dylan’s story to life!

James Mangold, both the director and co-writer, brings to life Dylan’s formative years as a musician in New York City from the early days up until his legendary 1965 performance at the Newport Folk Festival. The trailer opens with a sneak peek of the Hotel Chelsea, an iconic landmark of NYC where Dylan and other musical greats of that era often stayed. The footage then shows Timothée Chalamet roaming the streets of 1960s New York City while his version of “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall,” released in 1963, plays in the background. Cafe Wha? is also featured as Chalamet carries his guitar case past it.

In the trailer’s second part, a love triangle is hinted at between Joan Baez, played by Barbaro, and Suze Rotolo, portrayed by Fanning, who was previously Dylan’s girlfriend. Near the end, Chalamet transforms into Dylan’s iconic appearance, featuring longer hair and sunglasses.

I’m excited to share that I recently watched the captivating official trailer for “A Complete Unknown,” which is scheduled to hit theaters this coming December.
