FLASHBACK: Colbert Taunts Robert Hur Over Biden Testimony

Last year, Stephen Colbert playfully criticized President Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities, however, this occurred following the disastrous presidential debate on June 27.

“The Late Show” host spent the preceding months pretending Biden was fit for duty.

And he wasn’t alone.

Colbert’s comic subterfuge looks even worse this week.

We’ve been receiving numerous extracts from the jointly authored work titled “Original Sin,” penned by political activist Jake Tapper. This book alleges concerning instances of Biden’s cognitive deterioration, many of which Tapper chose not to disclose publicly during the past few years.

Now, a second Biden bombshell has dropped.

Currently, it’s possible to listen to President Biden experiencing some stumbles in his 2023 testimony before Special Counsel Robert Hur, who is investigating the potential mismanagement of confidential documents. The Axios scoop swiftly gained traction and spread like wildfire among various news platforms.

In a recording, President Biden momentarily finds it hard to pinpoint the exact year his son Beau passed away due to brain cancer. Beau sadly lost his life on May 30th, 2015, at the age of forty-six. The audio evidence suggests that he could recollect the month and day accurately, but needed assistance from members of the special counsel team to remind him of the year.

The given testimony prompted Hur to classify the Leader as “a good-hearted, senior individual who struggles with memory.

The statement infuriated journalists from traditional media outlets, who continue to deny any cognitive impairment in President Biden’s health. They criticized Hur and the report’s findings harshly.

Colbert did the same from his CBS pulpit last year after the report’s release.

Such an evaluation strays from the usual duties assigned to a special counsel… It’s comparable to a situation where a doctor says, ‘I must tell you, Mr. Johnson, your cholesterol levels are excellent, but I have concerns regarding your appearance.’

Stephen Colbert pointed out a recent mistake made by President Donald Trump as evidence of his poor memory, disregarding numerous instances where Joe Biden showed signs of forgetfulness. Furthermore, he selectively used parts of a report to distort Hur’s findings.

It turns out he’s not as forgetful as his account suggested, Colbert noted, emphasizing a point where it was mentioned that he seems to possess an extraordinary ability to remember and understand things visually.

Colbert stated, “Therefore, it’s completely different from what he wrote in his summary. At this point, I have concerns about Hur’s mental capacity.

For four years, Colbert supported Biden’s campaign through his comedic performances. Just weeks prior to the well-known debate, the comedian known for political satire attended a fundraising event for Biden.
