As a dedicated fan who has been following Fleetwood Mac since their “Rumors” era, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming release of the “Mirage Tour ’82” album! This is an opportunity to revisit a pivotal moment in the band’s history, a time when Lindsey Buckingham was still a part of the legendary group.
Fleetwood Mac is set to release an album featuring songs from their 1982 Mirage Tour. This tour took them across the United States as they supported their 13th studio album, Mirage. Notably, this was guitarist and vocalist Lindsey Buckingham’s last tour with the band before he left.
Making available for digital streaming, along with vinyl and compact disc releases through Rhino, the “Mirage Tour ’82” album is particularly composed of performances captured during two evenings of the band’s concerts at The Forum in Los Angeles on October 21st and 22nd.
In contrast to previous compilation albums that contained snippets from their concerts, this fresh release is unique as it includes six unreleased tracks from the October 21 show. Notably, among the revived renditions of beloved hits like “Landslide,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Never Going Back Again,” listeners will encounter these tunes in their live versions.
In the previous year, Fleetwood Mac released a live album containing tracks from their 1977 concert tour which accompanied their 11th studio album, ‘Rumors’.
Fleetwood Mac’s Mirage Tour ‘82 album is out on CD, vinyl and digitally on September 20.
