Forsaken Mod Brings Warcraft’s Tirisfal Glades to Baldur’s Gate 3

Fans of both World of Warcraft and Baldur’s Gate 3 have a new exciting opportunity: a custom campaign mod called Forsaken offers an unforeseen blend of these two beloved games. This grand endeavor rebuilds the Undead starting zone, Tirisfal Glades, within Larian Studios’ role-playing game environment.

In simpler terms, for fans of both World of Warcraft and Baldur’s Gate 3, a custom campaign named Forsaken offers an unanticipated mix of these two games. This massive project transfers the plague-stricken Undead starting zone, Tirisfal Glades, into Larian Studios’ role-playing game world.

Currently, just the Deathknell area is unveiled in this initial reveal – representing approximately one eighth of the first zone, as stated by modder SquallyDaBeanz.

As an enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement about this mod! It lets me embark on five fresh quests, engage with fully scripted non-player characters, delve into a new underground lair, and even establish a temporary camp for my party to unwind. Though it’s merely a sneak peek of what’s to come, it gives a tantalizing taste of what might evolve into a complete Warcraft-inspired journey within Larian Studios’ acclaimed RPG world.

The original creator of this mod has grand ambitions for Forsaken, intending to expand Tirisfal Glades with additional dialogue options, skill challenges, concealed puzzles, distinctive interactions, and a more sophisticated hireling system. Subsequent updates will also optimize enemy AI, incorporate custom music cues, and heighten the environment’s appeal by improving lighting effects and intricate details.

Without any dialogue or cinematic scenes, the emphasis lies heavily on gameplay mechanics and environment creation. Should enough gamers exhibit keen curiosity, the upcoming significant update aims to transform this mod into an entire Act 1, encompassing the entirety of Tirisfal Glades.

Heed this note: Similar to all modifications, Forsaken has some unpolished areas. Occasionally, quest rewards might not show up properly, party camp chests may fail to materialize for players who aren’t the host, and there are a few repetitive dialogue sequences. However, it should be noted that compatibility with other mods is contingent upon whether they alter Baldur’s Gate 3’s core world; most should operate smoothly.

As a dedicated fan, I haven’t gotten a solid release date yet for the complete mod, but that’s the current situation. The creator is immersed in another significant project, known as The Act Two Expansion, at the moment. However, they’ve assured us they’ll get back to Forsaken once they’re done with the expansion. In the interim, the teaser will be revamped for Patch 8, and we can expect ongoing enhancements.
