Fox Will Use NFL to Launch New Series ‘Universal Basic Guys,’ ‘Rescue: Hi-Surf’

As a devoted fan of Fox’s lineup, I couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming fall premieres! With my DVR set to record every episode, I can hardly contain my anticipation for the new shows and returning favorites.

On Sundays during football season, Fox will unveil two out of its three fresh series to audiences using the largest platform available: NFL games.

On September 8, following two NFL games, the new animated comedy “Universal Basic Guys” is set to debut on Fox with additional episodes of “Bob’s Burgers” and “The Great North.” These episodes are leftover from their previous seasons. Fox will then schedule “Universal Basic Guys” to air regularly, before “The Simpsons,” towards the end of September.

The drama series “Rescue: Hi-Surf,” a gripping tale of lifeguards in Hawaii, will have its post-NFL debut on Sept. 22. Following this, it will settle into its regular timeslot the next day. This new combination will air every Monday and joins “911: Lone Star” which was withheld from broadcast during the disrupted 2023-24 television season by Fox.

As a passionate Fox TV fan, I’m thrilled to share that most of Fox’s new premieres this fall will take place during the week of Sept. 23rd. The network’s third offering for the season, an engrossing drama called “Murder in a Small Town,” will kick off with a captivating 90-minute premiere on the 24th. Following suit are two more anticipated shows – “The Masked Singer” and “The Floor” – which will air on the 25th. On Sept. 26th, get ready for an exciting night filled with food competitions as “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Crime Scene Kitchen” make their debuts. The Thursday lineup undergoes a slight adjustment from the schedule unveiled in May: instead of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” we’ll now have the delightful combination of two culinary shows, “Crime Scene Kitchen.” “Special Forces” will grace our screens later in the season.

On Friday and Saturday nights, sports will keep you entertained, while the entire animation block, including “Krapopolis,” starts airing on September 29. The courtroom anthology “Accused” will have its premiere on October 1, alongside “Murder in a Small Town.”
