Frank Fritz, Co-Host of ‘American Pickers,’ Dies at 60

As a dedicated fan who has followed Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe’s adventures on American Pickers for years, the news of Frank’s passing leaves me deeply saddened. I’ve always admired their bond, their shared passion for history, and their uncanny ability to find hidden gems in the most unexpected places.

Frank Fritz, co-host of the History Channel’s American Pickers, has died. He was 60.

Mike Wolfe, Fritz’s co-host, announced the sad news on Instagram this Tuesday morning. In the caption of a picture with Frank, he wrote, “It is with deep sorrow that I inform everyone that Frank passed away last night.” For more than half my life, I’ve known Frank and what you see on TV reflects our real-life relationship. He was always a dreamer, as tender-hearted as he was humorous. Off camera, Frank was the same – his genuine self touched the lives of many by simply being himself.

He went on to say, “Who could have imagined that we’d find ourselves co-piloting a white delivery van, broadcasting our journeys to millions of curious viewers. Before each episode, we’d set off together to unexplored locations with no specific destination, driven solely by our mutual enthusiasm for uncovering something fascinating and significant.

In wrapping up his message, Wolfe penned, “After countless adventures together and traveling numerous miles, I am grateful for having been with him during his final homecoming trip. My dear friend, my heart is heavy with love for you as I’ll miss you dearly; I believe you have found peace.

More to come.
