As a long-time admirer of both Malcolm in the Middle and the enchanting bond between Frankie Muniz and Bryan Cranston, I find it heartwarming to see that their relationship has transcended the confines of television screens and continued off-camera. It’s not every day you hear about a TV dad who genuinely cares for his on-screen son even decades later.
Despite over twenty years passing since the finale of “Malcolm in the Middle,” Frankie Muniz shared that his on-screen father, Bryan Cranston, continues to reach out to him.
Muniz shared that Cranston often touches base with him every few weeks to see how he’s doing. He genuinely takes interest in his life, attends his races, even if his band was performing, and never missed a show. Cranston is truly an inspiration, and as Muniz mentioned earlier, he aspires to be the same kind of supportive figure for someone else someday.
For seven consecutive years, starting from 2000 to 2006, the television series titled “Malcolm in the Middle” aired. Bryan Cranston portrayed the role of Hal, who was the father to Malcolm, as played by Muniz, and his other siblings.
Muniz stated that he started collaborating with Cranston around his 11th or 12th year, and described him as more than just a mentor – he was like a father figure to him. To this day, Cranston remains a significant influence, almost like a revered figure in Hollywood. He’s achieved greatness through remarkable films and shows, earning countless awards. In essence, Cranston is an icon.
Although Muniz has been featured in several television programs lately, his attention is currently centered on his dreams of becoming a NASCAR driver. Lately, he expressed his viewpoint as a parent regarding Hollywood, stating that he “would not allow my child to enter the entertainment industry.
Muniz shares a 3-year-old son, Mauz, with his wife, Paige Price.
He didn’t have a bad experience himself, quite the contrary, it was entirely positive. However, he knows numerous individuals, friends even, who encountered incredibly unfavorable situations instead.
He further remarked, “I find the world as a whole quite unattractive.” He continued, “I’ve never been bothered by rejection, but I’ve encountered a great deal of it.
