As a hardcore 90’s kid and a die-hard Friends fanatic, I can hardly contain my excitement about this latest announcement! “The One With the Game Show,” you say? Sign me up, Ross Geller-style! Ever since I first saw Rachel’s iconic haircut and Central Perk’s coffee aroma, I knew these six friends would forever hold a special place in my heart.
Call it “The One With the Game Show.”
To celebrate 30 years since Friends first aired, Max has given the go-ahead for a four-episode game show inspired by the original sitcom. The series, named Fast Friends, will start filming next month at The Friends Experience interactive attraction in New York City. Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and Warner Horizon are involved in producing this show.
As a dedicated “Friends” fanatic, I’ll get to experience life inside the iconic sets of my beloved sitcom! Dashing through Rachel and Monica’s apartment, zipping across Joey and Chandler’s bachelor pad, and savoring a coffee at Central Perk – it’s going to be like stepping right into the show itself. But it’s not just about nostalgia; I’ll also have to demonstrate my knowledge with trivia, solve puzzles, and conquer games to prove my devotion as the Ultimate Friends Fan!
The television series “Friends” first aired on September 22, 1994, and continued for ten seasons on NBC, becoming a major hit during their Must-See TV period. Since then, it has remained popular through syndication and streaming services; however, in 2021, Max gained exclusive rights to stream the show.
Besides hosting a game show, Max is celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Friends” by presenting multiple themed collections that spotlight special moments for each character and the most-watched episodes in commemoration.
Dan Sacks, Bridgette Theriault, and Dan Norris serve as the executive producers for the production of “Fast Friends“. Richard Burgio works alongside them in a co-executive producer role.
