As a fervent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that despite the recent California wildfires, I can confirm that the 2025 edition of Frieze Los Angeles is set to unfold as planned from February 20 –23, right at the Santa Monica Airport.
After much thought and numerous discussions with galleries, collaborators, and key figures within our city, I’m thrilled to announce that we are indeed proceeding with the sixth installment of Frieze Los Angeles!
We’re deeply sympathetic towards everyone impacted by the destructive fires in Los Angeles. For six years, Frieze has taken pride in being a supporter and integral part of this thriving community. The hardships Los Angeles is experiencing at present have only intensified our resolve to collaborate with the community in rebuilding and recovering.
As a key pioneer in the Los Angeles Arts Community Fire Relief Fund, an expanding initiative worth $12 million that offers immediate assistance to artists and cultural institutions impacted by the fires, the fair has additionally teamed up with local accommodations to house visitors. The goal is to accelerate the city’s revival through cooperative efforts across various sectors.
The planned concurrent art fairs will go on as scheduled, and they are also urging donations towards relief funds for fires. Organizers of Felix Art Fair are requesting VIPs to contribute to the fire-related mutual aid project called Grief and Hope, while Santa Monica Post Office is suggesting donations to California Fire Foundation and World Central Kitchen.
