As a passionate gamer and art enthusiast with a deep appreciation for sculpture, I am thrilled to learn about the return of Frieze Sculpture 2024 to London’s Regent’s Park. The announcement of an expanded lineup featuring international artists from five continents, curated by Fatoş Üstek for the second time, has piqued my interest and anticipation.
In September 2024, Frieze Sculpture will be back in Regent’s Park, London, running from the 18th to the 27th of October. Led by curator Fatoş Üstek for a second time, this year’s event boasts an impressive roster of 22 artists hailing from five continents. With a grand total of 27 artworks on display, visitors can look forward to 18 fresh creations from artists like Leonora Carrington, Theaster Gates, Zanele Muholi, and Yoshitomo Nara.
In the 2024 exhibition, there is a focus on women artists and innovation in sculpture through the addition of elements like sound, light, live performances, painting, video, and augmented reality. Üstek’s curation explores topics related to social and environmental awareness, as well as deeper conceptual and spiritual practices.
