During the initial network test of Elden Ring: Nightreign, there were considerable server problems that lasted approximately one and a half hours. This resulted in the game servers becoming overwhelmed, significantly impacting the intended three-hour stress test.
Users encountered multiple login failures and unexpected disconnections during gameplay. Prominent streamers like Maximilian_DOOD and ChaseTheBro had a lengthy wait of over an hour before the servers recovered. Thankfully, once they waited it out, they managed to return to the realm of Limveld, prepared to confront the Night.
FromSoftware has expressed their apologies over the ongoing problem, explaining that they are presently focusing on enhancing the Network Test’s stability. They hinted at the possibility of scheduling another Network Test session in the near future.

As a devoted fan, I must admit that the abrupt server downtime left me feeling disheartened. Yet, what truly stood out was the way the community responded with humor, flooding Elden Ring’s official platform and the subreddit with witty jokes and memes. Amidst this, there were some who vented their frustration, as many viewed the Network Test as a welcome distraction from the less-than-lovely Valentine’s Day.

Experience the debut of Elden Ring’s network test, as additional sessions have been planned up until February 17th.
Those who ventured into this alternative Elden Ring realm commended the innovative gameplay features, finding it relatively straightforward to adapt to the novel control system. Notably, the absence of fall damage and incorporation of Flask usage were well-received by numerous players.

Prior to the power cutoff, players had been relishing the opportunity to try out the game’s four distinct characters, with Wylder, Recluse, and the Duchess being the most popular. Wylder plays similarly to Elden Ring’s Vagabond, while Recluse is a character who can cast potent spells like a mage. The Duchess has garnered much admiration for her speed and capacity to become invisible.
As of now, no players have reached the third night or defeated the final boss, the Nightlord.
Essentially, the server problems turned out to be a hidden advantage for FromSoftware, since the Network Stress Test effectively exposed crucial flaws. In the approaching Network Test days, they aim to deploy upgraded servers to minimize future disruptions.
