Many fans of the TV show “Full House” may have harbored a crush on John Stamos, who portrayed Uncle Jesse, yet his younger costars did not perceive him in that manner romantically.
On the “How Rude, Tanneritos!” podcast, co-star Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber (who portrayed Kimmy Gibbler, D.J. Tanner’s best friend) found it inappropriate when they were asked if they had ever had a crush on John Stamos. Barber deemed this question as being distasteful.

In an episode of the “How Rude, Tanneritos!” podcast featuring co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, Barber expressed her discomfort with a question about whether she had ever had romantic feelings for John Stamos, stating that it was an uncomfortable query.

Andrea Barber, co-star of the “How Rude, Tanneritos!” podcast along with Jodie Sweetin, voiced her disagreement with a question asking if she had ever been romantically interested in John Stamos, labeling it as inappropriate and distasteful.
She further clarified, “They’re more like our big brothers to us, and we don’t view them in that manner.” (referring to John Stamos and Dave Coulier who played roles similar to older brothers on the show, helping raise the Tanner girls with widowed father Danny, portrayed by Bob Saget)
Sweetin agreed, adding, “Not even older brothers. They’re like my uncles.”
The situation arose during a round of “Would You Rather” in a recent mini-episode of Barber and Sweetin’s rewatch podcast, focusing on the two-part episode where Jesse and Becky (played by Lori Loughlin) got married. In this wedding-themed quiz, the hosts were presented with an unusual question: choosing between marrying Joey or Jesse. However, they found this question rather strange.
“They’re like family, and it’s weird,” Sweetin said.
Nevertheless, they ultimately chose Joey, with Sweetin explaining their decision as being solely dependent on “temperament.
Later on, Barber commented that there’s absolutely no allure in this matter whatsoever,” he said. “They’re simply our pals, and I must admit, this question does seem quite peculiar.
Following the conclusion of “Full House” in 1995, several original cast members, including Sweetin, Barber, Bure, and others, returned to their roles for the Netflix sequel series “Fuller House,” which aired from 2016 until 2020.
