Full House's John Stamos And Dave Coulier Played Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Together, And I'm Definitely Rewatching Their Debate Over Law And Order: SVU's Olivia Benson

As a dedicated gamer and avid fan of TV shows, I couldn’t help but be thrilled when I heard that Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was back on our screens, especially with Full House alums John Stamos and Dave Coulier gracing the hot seat. Having grown up watching them in my childhood, I knew their chemistry would make for an entertaining episode.

Spoilers ahead for the July 24 episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on ABC.

In more casual and clear language,

Following their introductions on stage, Dave Coulier revealed he was representing Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, while John Stamos spoke for Childhelp. The duo handled the initial queries with ease, but became unsure when confronted with a TV-related question, adding amusement to the audience, especially me as a fan of Law & Order! Jimmy Kimmel presented the $2,000 query to the former cast members of Full House.

I’m a huge fan of that iconic TV show, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” In 2024, New York’s Rockefeller Plaza took on a new identity for a limited time to honor its 25-year anniversary. Guess what they renamed it? That’s right, ‘Olivia Benson Plaza.’ What a wonderful tribute to the brilliant and tenacious detective!

For avid fans of “Law & Order: SVU,” the unveiling of Rockefeller Plaza’s new name as Olivia Benson’s honor this year might not have come as a surprise. You might have even seen pictures of Mariska Hargitay at the event. However, it is essential to note that all four shows presented by Stamos and Coulier debuted 25 years ago.

  • A. The West Wing
  • B. Family Guy
  • C. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
  • D. The Sopranos

As someone who has been an avid fan of Law & Order: SVU for years, I can’t help but appreciate the unique dynamic between Stamos and Coulier during their debate. Although not everyone may have the same level of expertise or have seen every episode, their comedic chemistry made the entire experience enjoyable for me.

Stamos acknowledged that he might not have known the definitive answer, but his reluctance to commit could be attributed to the humor of the situation. Coulier insisted that they couldn’t remain friends if they made a mistake with all their lifelines intact. Eventually, Stamos chose “SVU” as their final answer, appearing uneasy while waiting for Kimmel to confirm the correctness of his guess.

Luckily, Stamos managed to give the right response and received a sweet cheek kiss from Coulier. I’d love to see more episodes of these two “Full House” stars bantering with Jimmy Fallon. Many “SVU” fans, including myself, enjoyed watching the ex-guest star on the show grapple with Olivia Benson. There were some intriguing comments about X (previously known as Twitter) regarding this scenario.

  • @torturedwriterx: “How do both John Stamos and Dave Coulier not know Law & Order: Special Victims Unit? Like John was literally in an episode”
  • @Paper_Heart_Jen: “John Stamos having to think about this answer when he was literally on an episode of SVU.”
  • @tkslittlesway: “Oh come on John Stamos! You were on an episode of SVU!”

John Stamos and Dave Coulier’s tenure on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” may have concluded, but the entertaining game show will persist with fresh episodes every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. For those who like to stream or revisit recent episodes, they can be found on Hulu the following day. Additionally, “Law & Order: SVU” is also accessible on Hulu for viewers looking to expand their Olivia Benson knowledge!
