As a devoted fan of “The Bear,” I can’t contain my excitement after hearing FX head John Landgraf’s latest update on the possibility of a fifth season. The show has become a must-watch for me, and its record-breaking 23 Emmy nominations are a testament to its exceptional storytelling and acting.
John Landgraf, who heads FX, has discussed the potential for a fifth season of “The Bear” after it earned an impressive 23 Emmy nominations.
In an interview with Variety, the chairman shared that the fate of Season 5 hinges on creator and showrunner Chris Storer. He emphasized, “These choices are mainly about creativity,” expressing his hope that Storer has more stories to tell. However, he added, “Even if there’s been one exceptional season or three average ones, I’d still prefer the exceptional one. Ultimately, we must prioritize creative merit.”
Landgraf gave a hint about the potential release date of Season 4, which was filmed consecutively with the current season. Although he regrettably mentioned that they can’t bring out the new season sooner because of the cast members’ other engagements, he expressed his immense pride and gratitude for The Bear having an annual premiere. “I don’t have a definite answer, but I suspect it’ll return around the same time next year,” he disclosed.
In the current Emmy Awards season, “The Bear” has gained an impressive milestone by securing a grand total of 23 nominations, surpassing the previous record held by “30 Rock.”
