Be aware, there might be slight spoilers for the first season of ‘The Night Agent‘. If you haven’t yet watched seasons 1 and 2, I recommend catching up with them using a Netflix subscription.
In terms of top Netflix series to immerse yourself in, one that immediately comes to mind is “The Night Agent“. Its gripping action sequences and nail-biting narratives ensure viewers remain on tenterhooks throughout. A key factor contributing to its popularity is the diverse locations featured – actor Gabriel Basso has even suggested some intriguing ideas for future filming destinations.
In an exciting turn of events, The Night Agent has been given the green light for Season 3 even before the Season 2 debut (scheduled for 2025 on Netflix), which made it an intriguing prospect to interview the actor during Season 2. Naturally, I asked about his future plans for the character, Peter. His response? He yearned to venture far beyond U.S. borders into a visually breathtaking location.
It seems intriguing to me; the idea of shooting movies in Nepal’s mountains is quite appealing…It might be spectacular…I must admit I haven’t seen much of it on screen, but perhaps that’s because it’s challenging to film there due to logistical issues. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see.
Additionally, Basso mentioned that although Nepal would be picturesque, he was considering shifting the series to a more typical Midwestern town. This change would help keep the storylines more focused and less sprawling compared to the bustling metropolises of the previous two seasons.
It could be quite fascinating to explore a small-town setting in the Midwest, as urban centers often grab the limelight. Visiting places like St. Louis might surprise you, as these cities are not typically associated with such attractions, yet they have plenty to offer.
In Season 1 of “The Night Agent,” most events unfolded in Washington D.C., while in Season 2, the series shifted its setting from the bustling metropolises of Bangkok and New York City.
As I pen these words, the wheels are already turning for Season 3 of “The Night Agent”. In fact, some exciting casting updates were shared in December 2024! So, truthfully, it seems we won’t have to wait much longer to find out where this intriguing journey might take us next.
In many TV series featuring prominent agents, a shift in locations is usually welcomed by viewers. In fact, it’s quite common to find this element even in spy movies, just take a look at the numerous Mission: Impossible films.
It’s not entirely unexpected that the series might introduce a new Night Agent character to shift the setting, perhaps as early as Season 3. Gabriel Basso, our beloved star of The Night Agent, has hinted at taking a break from acting after Season 3, which leaves room for exploring Peter in exotic locales such as Nepal or other intriguing destinations around the globe.
Anywhere that’s not NYC or Washington, please!
