Gaia Wise Shared Her Ultimate Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim Keepsake, And I Can’t Get Over The Story Behind It

As a lifelong cinephile who has spent countless hours immersed in the rich tapestry of Middle-earth, I must confess that “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of 2024 for me. This anime adaptation, with its grand scope and a cast including the talented Gaia Wise, was a true holiday gift that resonated deeply with my inner hobbit.

Among the 2024 films that seemed like an extraordinary holiday present for me is “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim”. This grand anime epic, in my opinion, will captivate even the most die-hard fans, particularly with talented actors such as Gaia Wise, who shares our passion for the “Lord of the Rings” movies, contributing to the cast. Her ardor for these films led me to ask her a question that unveiled what her prized memento from this journey would be.

I had a chat with Ms. Wise and her co-star Laurence Ubong Williams during the virtual press event for “The War of the Rohirrim.” This was an excellent opportunity to discuss equine matters, given the story about Viggo Mortensen’s attempt to adopt his “Lord of the Rings” horse post-filming. Although “The War of the Rohirrim” wasn’t a live-action production, Gais Wise didn’t leave with any souvenirs. In fact, when I asked if the animation team had considered gifting her artwork depicting this spirited young character on his steed, she said no such offer was extended. However, Wise did share an intriguing tale about what she would like to display in her home:

It turns out I need to speak with Paris Paloma, the talented artist behind ‘The Rider’ song. While they were recording, she sketched me on a horse. I plan to locate her and ask for that drawing as a memento. You could say I was astounded by her humming melodies and artwork at the same time, so much so that I asked her to pause.

If the occasion called for another reference to a “Lord of the Rings” curse word, now would seem fitting. And let me tell you, the name Paris Paloma might ring a bell, since her hit single “Labour” has been trending all over TikTok with its pitch-perfect tune. So it’s no surprise that Gaia Wise and Laurence Ubong Williams found themselves envying her flawless perfection.

Regardless of whether it’s a memento or not, Gaia Wise’s tale serves as another demonstration that the essence of the “Lord of the Rings” series is effectively carried on in “The War of the Rohirrim.” Furthermore, elements like incorporating Christopher Lee’s posthumous appearance as Saruman and the practice of well-known musicians contributing an impressive theme song for the journey echo the past into the present.

I’m thrilled to be counted among the likes of Enya, Annie Lennox, and Ed Sheeran, as Paris Paloma’s unique talent shines brightly. If you haven’t already, take a moment to immerse yourself in “The Rider,” a masterpiece that leaves me awestruck with its flawless beauty: hear it for yourself!

Gaia Wise’s story has inspired me to aspire that such art can be witnessed in its natural habitat someday, particularly if there’s still an opportunity to incorporate it into the future Steelbook edition of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. Paris Paloma’s fashion choices in the video above suggest she is certainly a devoted fan.

I’ll make sure not to jump to conclusions right away, given that you’ll soon be able to read my review of “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim“. My hope is that it will persuade you to watch it in a cinema setting. Once you’ve experienced this thrilling tale firsthand, I strongly recommend visiting your local Max subscription portal and streaming both “The Hobbit” and/or the entire “Lord of the Rings” trilogies. Let’s face it: December is the perfect time for a trip to Middle-Earth.
