For all those years, the character always took care of my needs. I never stopped refining the character right up until the end, even when people were taken aback, such as when Brienne showed a smile upon being knighted. To me, that smile made perfect sense since it was a rare moment where she truly expressed joy, having finally achieved what she had long desired in an intensely personal and unique manner.
Although Christie’s role in Westeros may have reached its end (though no official announcement has been made), her character is expected to play a significant role in the main character of the new “Game of Thrones” spin-off series titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.” This upcoming series takes place between the events of “Game of Thrones” and the ongoing prequel “House of the Dragon.” The story, adapted from one of Martin’s short stories, follows the character Ser Duncan the Tall (played by Peter Claffey), who embarks on a journey to participate in an esteemed sword-fighting tournament. In the books, Ser Duncan is believed to be a descendant of House Tarth, but the exact lineage has yet to be unveiled.
