On August 28, 2024, Binance temporarily halted several Palestinian user accounts, suspecting them of ties with illicit funds. Yet, Binance co-founder Yi He clarified that only a handful of accounts were affected by this action. Yi He emphasized that Binance strictly complies with international anti-money laundering regulations, just like other financial entities, and expressed his hope for peace in the region.
