Gerard Butler Says Actors Were Injured “Every Day” While Filming ‘300’

Tonight we dine in the hospital!

As a diehard fan, I can tell you that during the filming of the action classic 300, Gerard Butler shared that there were an absolutely mind-blowing amount of injuries!

In 2006, Zack Snyder’s movie, where Butler portrayed the formidable character of Spartan King Leonidas, was reportedly a chaotic battlefield during filming.

Butler recounted to People that each day someone was being rushed to the hospital,” he said. “During a fight, you might look away, only to find someone impaled with a spear in their eye. On another occasion, a person would fall and break their ankle. It was absolutely chaotic.”

Or, more colloquially:

“Butler told People that every day, someone was getting carted off to the hospital,” he said. “One minute you’re in the middle of a fight, next thing you know, someone’s got a spear in their eye. Another time, it’s just someone falling and breaking an ankle. It was wild!

Apparently, Butler managed to escape without any harm from the incident, although he has shared past wounds incurred during filming on different sets. For instance, he almost drowned while mastering surfing skills for the 2012 film “Chasing Mavericks.

The 55-year-old actor expressed surprise, stating, “I believed my work was complete.” He needed to be rushed to the hospital, sedated, and given a defibrillator shock. It was quite an ordeal for him.

Butler is touring to publicize his latest action movie, titled “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera“, which has been performing well at the cinema and could establish “Den of Thieves” as a full-fledged series.

The third installment, according to director Christian Gudegast, has been proposed. It’s all set and prepared. We’re eager to start production, feeling quite optimistic about it.

Last weekend, Pantera debuted with a gross of approximately $15.5 million, which is similar to the initial box office take of its predecessor in 2018. Right now, you can find the original Den of Thieves streaming on Max.
