Giant-Size Brain Blast: Marvel Rivals’ New Game Mode Makes Everyone a BobbleHead

It appears that aside from Overwatch 2, another game – Marvel Rivals – is also unveiling a new game mode this month. The mode, named Giant-Size Brick Blast, features a large cartoon bobblehead for every player.

As a gamer, diving into the action of Brain Blast, I’m thrilled to let you know about the perks that come my way! There’s an in-game leaderboard where I can show off my skills against other players, and during this event, there are some unique items up for grabs that won’t be available later. So, it’s time to jump in and seize these limited-time opportunities before they vanish!

Giant-Size Brain Blast Mode

The method is straightforward, just like its name implies; it adopts characters from the popular Marvel Rivals series, exaggerates their head sizes, and then pits them against each other in standard battles. Here’s a look at the unveiling video:

“🧠 Heads Up – literally! 🧠

Meet the astonishingly mind-bending gameplay mode of Marvel Rivals called Giant Brain Blast! Jump right in, inflate your skills, and make a mark on the high score board. Earn special event-only rewards like titles and an emote, simply by participating!

Based on GameSpot’s report, the Brain Blast event will feature two gaming sessions starting on April 25 and May 2 respectively. Each session will accommodate 12 players who will vie for unique in-game items exclusive to this event. The top performers at the end of each round will receive various titles such as “Giant-Sized Brain,” “Monster-Sized Brain,” and “Planet-Sized Brain” based on their ranking, with the top 500, top 100, and top 10 players respectively. Completing ten rounds will earn you the Brain Blast emote, which allows you to display an oversized head in regular matches. However, this emote can only be used for one character of your choice.

Big Head Mode

Despite being unexpected, it’s not uncommon for a game like Marvel Rivals to include a goofy mode such as Brain Blast. In fact, the Big Head Mode has become something of an inside joke among modern video games. This feature can be traced back to Goldeneye 007 for the N64 and has since been incorporated into titles like Tekken, Gears of War, Jak & Daxter, and many others; even the Batman Arkham series features a Big Head Mode.

On April 25th, the highly anticipated “Giant-Size Brain Blast” will debut in the Marvel Rivals gaming universe. Currently, this exciting game can be played on PCs, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S consoles.
