As a seasoned gamer with a keen eye for fashion and architecture, I can’t help but be thrilled about the new Givenchy flagship store in the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building on Rodeo Drive! Growing up, I always admired Hubert de Givenchy’s designs and their timeless elegance. This store is not just a shopping destination; it’s a piece of art that beautifully blends the past and present.
Givenchy, renowned fashion house, has declared the launch of its first permanent store in Los Angeles, situated within the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright-designed edifice at 332 North Rodeo Drive. Spanning over 8,000 square feet, this building will serve as Givenchy’s flagship on the West Coast. The initial retail area of approximately 4,500 square feet is slated to open in August, with the remaining sections set to debut in early 2025.
The store’s layout maintains the historic charm of the building, but also incorporates the distinctive flair of Givenchy. Original details such as diamond-patterned ceilings, red floors, and two fireplaces have been carefully restored. The interior combines harsh industrial aspects with gentle natural textures, resulting in a cozy and welcoming ambiance. A vintage tiger print fabric, previously utilized by Hubert de Givenchy at his residence, brings bold splashes of color to the seating areas and staircases.
In this unique building, separate entrances have been set up to create separate areas for men’s and women’s collections, mirroring its initial multi-level design concept. You’ll find the complete assortment of Givenchy ready-to-wear and accessories here, including items specifically designed for our LA flagship store. Notable items include the Voyou handbag, Antigona Cube, Shark Lock boots, as well as a sneak peek at the upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 runway collection.
Valerie Leon, President of Givenchy in the Americas, highlighted the importance of this site: “Given that Hubert de Givenchy had a deep affection for art and architecture, selecting the Frank Lloyd Wright building seemed fitting. The prospect of showcasing Givenchy within it was truly motivating.”
