Glen Powell and ‘Twisters’ Co-Stars Make Surprise Visit at Luke Combs Concert to Chug Beers Onstage

As a huge fan of both country music and movies, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the surprising collaboration between “Twisters” stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, and Luke Combs at his recent concert in New Jersey. The fact that they joined him on stage for a beer chugging contest made it even more exciting!

Stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Anthony Ramos from the movie “Twisters” attended an unexpected visit to Luke Combs’ concert last weekend where they had the opportunity to quench their thirst.

At MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Friday, country singer Combs was accompanied onstage by some performers. Based on social media videos, it appears that they all shared a beer and engaged in a short drinking game.

Powell and Combs swiftly chugged their beers and casually threw the emptied cans into the crowd. Edgar-Jones seemed to leave hers unfinished, instead offering it to Powell who drained the rest and carelessly added her can to the pile.

Edgar-Jones captioned her Instagram Story post with “This was quite the occurrence,” as she shared the footage. She added an exploding head emoji and tagged Powell, Ramos, and Combs. Later, Ramos re-shared the clip and commented, “What a legendary moment!”

I’ve been a big fan of Garth Brooks for years, and I was beyond excited when I heard he recorded the classic country song “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” for the new movie “Twisters”. As someone who grew up listening to Garth’s music, it felt like coming full circle.

“I had an amazing gaming night at MetLife Stadium! The entire team and I got to experience the new Twisters Movie on the massive Jumbotron screen. It was truly an unforgettable evening filled with excitement and great entertainment.”

Director Lee Isaac Chung’s movie hit theaters last Friday and has gotten off to an excellent beginning. This film is a sequel to the 1996 production titled “Twister,” which featured Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt in leading roles. Surpassing expectations, “Twisters” is thriving at the box office and projects a domestic launch of approximately $74.6 million.
