The acting prowess of Glen Powell will carry over to his new character, Chad Powers, although fans might be taken aback by his altered appearance. With the double releases of “Hit Man” on Netflix and “Twisters” in cinemas this summer 2024, coupled with the early-year success of “Anyone but You”, it seems fitting to label the season as the Summer of Glen Powell. His current status as a star is unparalleled, and his upcoming project is the Hulu television show “Chad Powers”, which he produces, co-creates, and co-writes alongside Michael Waldron.

Chad Powers’ latest project signals Powell’s comeback to television. Previously, he portrayed Chad Radwell in the Fox series ‘Scream Queens’ from 2015 to 2016. This role catapulted Powell into stardom, leading to notable appearances in films like ‘Everybody Wants Some’ and ‘Hidden Figures’. Since then, his fame has soared with a string of box office successes and critical accolades. Apart from being a return to TV for Powell, this project also represents his second credited screenwriting gig following the summer release of ‘Hit Man’. Earlier, Powell had penned an unproduced script for a ‘Captain Planet’ film which he continues to develop.

Chad Powell’s series premiere date on Hulu remains undetermined. The series secured by Hulu in February 2024, following the box-office triumph of “Anyone but You” and the acclaim garnered by “Hit Man.” With his growing popularity, Powell is also slated to appear in A24’s dark comedy thriller “Huntington,” as well as Edgar Wright’s reimagining of “The Running Man.” Additionally, he has taken on a lead role in J.J. Abrams’ secret project alongside Jenna Ortega. Given his current success and enthusiastic fanbase, many are eagerly awaiting more of the original Glen Powell rather than his character in “Chad Powers.”
