As a seasoned globetrotter and a lifelong fan of James Bond, I can’t help but feel a thrill of excitement upon learning about Globe-Trotter‘s 007 Goldfinger limited-edition collection. With my passport stamped in over 50 countries and countless adventures under my belt, I’ve always dreamt of owning an Aston Martin DB5 – alas, it was never within my budget. But now, with this stunning carry-on suitcase inspired by the iconic car, I can bring a touch of Bond style to my travels without breaking the bank (or the law, as Bond so often does).
To mark the 60th anniversary of the classic movie “Goldfinger” featuring James Bond, Globe-Trotter has revealed a special collection in tribute to the legendary film.
This special carry-on suitcase is modeled after James Bond’s iconic Aston Martin DB5, along with his distinctive gray and white Glen Check three-piece suit. The exterior of the four-wheeled luggage mimics the silver finish of the DB5, with Globe-Trotter’s signature corners and handles finished in black leather. Inside, the lining features a digitally updated Glen Check pattern, echoing Bond’s attire.
Furthermore, this special edition comes with a trio of numbered luggage tags that can be fastened to your travel case. These tags are reminiscent of the rotating license plates on James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5, each representing the agent’s UK, French, and Swiss number plates. The British and French charms can be purchased separately for approximately £185 GBP ($243 USD), or you can opt for the complete set at around £495 GBP ($650 USD).
The assortment has been made available for purchase both on Globe-Trotter’s official website and in their flagship stores located in London, Paris, and Tokyo. Additionally, the limited edition cases will also be accessible via the official 007 website as well as certain high-end department stores.
