2023 has brought a bustling schedule of events, starting with the Golden Globe Awards on the first Sunday of the year. This event is often referred to as Hollywood’s biggest party, and this year it will be hosted by Nikki Glaser at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Over the next three days, there will be plenty of socializing among celebrities from the movie and TV industries at various high-profile venues such as Chateau Marmont, Sunset Tower, and Funke. With the holiday season over, Hollywood’s elite are expected to hit the party scene once again, rejuvenated and eager for the upcoming three months of awards season excitement. Let the games begin!

This event drew numerous A-list celebrities, with stars frequently moving between this celebration and W Magazine’s separate party located at the Chateau penthouse. During the gathering, Hahn conversed with Foster and Bacon, while cast members of Abbott Elementary and Baby Reindeer remained close to their fellow actors. Additionally, Lopez and Leto each made a circuit around the room.

You might think this was the scene outside the Golden Globes. Instead, all these events unfolded on Saturday night outside Chateau Marmont, a popular celebrity hotspot due to W. The switch from Friday’s Palm Springs Film Awards led to the annual event for the magazine’s stunning Performances franchise being moved from Friday to Saturday night, and it seemed to bring in a star-studded crowd. The room was filled with actors, artists, directors, fashion designers, socialites, and two of last year’s most popular pop stars, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter. In one corner, Jolie was engaged in a deep conversation with Saldaña, on the terrace, Taika Waititi held court for quite some time (catching up with Jessica Alba), Garfield and Edebiri were seen laughing near the entrance while Baby Reindeer star Gunning was looking for Scott, a regular favorite at such parties. DJ Ross One kept the energy high, playing enough songs to keep the dance floor going past midnight. THR spotted Paulson dancing in a corner by the bar, while Oscar-winning filmmaker Kwan showcased his moves to a track from Beyoncé’s Renaissance album. Smith, with large, pointed leather ears covering his head, danced around the penthouse living room.

To complement the meal, a specialty cocktail menu offered bellinis, citrus cosmos, and a Golden Paloma in recognition of the weekend.

Thornton, who is part of Taylor Sheridan’s latest series and received a nomination this year, was accompanied by his co-stars Larter and Randolph from Landman. Additionally, Bruckheimer, Magaro, and Valderrama were also spotted mingling throughout the multi-level event.

    Personal Take: Before I tune in for Sunday’s live extravaganza, the Golden Globes held a preliminary celebration on Friday night, bestowing the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award upon Davis and the Carol Burnett Award upon Danson. Usually, these awards are given during the live broadcast, but this year they were moved to the Golden Gala event. Meryl Streep graced us with her presence as she presented the award to Davis, while Ted Danson’s partner, Steenburgen, did the honors for him. I can hardly wait to see how it all unfolds during the main event!
