Golden Globes: Nikki Glaser to Return as Host in 2026

Nikki Glaser, who was nominated for a Golden Globe, Grammy, and Emmy award and previously hosted this year’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony, will once again take the stage as the host for that event in January 2026. The Golden Globes, which honors the best in both film and television, is one of the most significant awards shows at the start of the awards season and will be broadcast on CBS.

On January 5th, Nicole Glaser made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globe Awards ceremony solo, and she was met with overwhelming praise at the 82nd edition of this prestigious event.

In his statement, Glaser expressed that hosting the Golden Globes this year was by far the most enjoyable experience of his career. He’s eagerly anticipating another chance to host, and hopes that next time it will be in front of the cast of The White Lotus, who he believes will appreciate his talents enough to cast him as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a mysterious past in season four.

Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, stated that “Nikki Glaser infused the Golden Globes stage with a lively zest and audacious humor this year. Her quick-witted remarks and daring demeanor established an extraordinary atmosphere for an evening that won’t be easily forgotten. The ceremony was imbued with energy, and above all, fun.

At age 40, Nikki Glaser made a big impact with two HBO comedy specials within three years: “Good Clean Filth” in 2022 and “Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die” in 2024. The latter set new records for highest premiere-night ratings for an HBO comedy special in over two years, attracting the largest streaming audience ever for a comedy special on HBO/Max. Additionally, it earned her nominations for a Writers Guild Award, Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice award.

Recently, Glaser concluded her worldwide “The Good Girl” stand-up tour and is currently traveling across the United States, Canada, and Australia for her “Alive and Unwell” tour.

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will be organized and aired by Dick Clark Productions, reaching over 185 countries and territories across the globe. Viewers with Paramount+ subscriptions that include SHOWTIME can stream live via their local CBS affiliate’s live feed on the platform, as well as on-demand. Those with basic Paramount+ Essential subscriptions won’t be able to stream live but will have access to on-demand content a day after the special airs.
