Google, known for its technology leadership, announces its entrance into El Salvador to support the country’s digitalization efforts. This move comes after El Salvador’s decision to offer citizenship to 5,000 skilled tech professionals.

Google collaborates with El Salvador on initiatives to digitize government services, healthcare, and education. The goal is to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural regions in this country. Furthermore, Google’s partnership involves launching a telemedicine platform that can be managed or boosted by machine learning technology.
Nayib Bukele, president of El Salvador, expresses his delight that Google’s headquarters will be based in his country. Despite purchasing Bitcoins daily even when their prices dropped, El Salvador’s Bitcoin investment strategy has proven successful following a temporary price decrease. The nation now holds approximately 5,689 Bitcoins, with an estimated profit of $58 million.
At the inauguration of Google’s new office in El Salvador, President Bukele marveled at the progress, recalling how far the country had come in a short time.

The decline in Bitcoin’s price affected El Salvador’s total digital holdings, but the country remains in the black due to its earlier crypto purchases. Unlike regular financial institutions, El Salvador’s Bitcoin repository receives various digital collectibles through Ordinals protocol.
