As a seasoned outdoor enthusiast and a connoisseur of sustainable fashion, this Greater Goods x Gramicci collaboration has truly struck a chord with me! The fusion of their shared passion for the great outdoors and their commitment to circular design is nothing short of inspiring.
Greater Goods, a London design and upcycling studio, has collaborated with Gramicci on a unique collection made exclusively from pre-owned Gramicci clothing items. Sharing a passion for the outdoors, these two innovative brands have combined their roots in an eclectic seven-piece line featuring one-of-a-kind garments. This collaboration encourages a circular design approach by recycling and reusing existing materials.
The assortment comes in a uniform shade of army green, slightly varied due to the distinct qualities of the already existing pieces.
The design features a quilted pattern consistently running along the length, with two distinct types of outer garments dominating the scene: a smart collar jacket, which lends an air of elegance to the assortment, and a practical outdoor model, characterized by a hood and a ventilated back.
For those preferring shorter styles, you’ll find knee-length shorts paired with belted panel trousers, emulating the classic Gramicci aesthetic. Completing the assortment is a retro army-style backpack featuring buckled fastenings, along with an exceptionally weathered satchel bag that showcases a unique worn-in charm. To top it off, a distressed bucket hat echoes the rugged textiles used in the satchel bag, maintaining consistency throughout the collection.
Upon close inspection, you’ll notice distinct sewing patterns and specks of paint, showcasing the innovative approach taken by the collaborators during the upcycling process, which resulted in the creation of this unique collection.
