The 2025 Grammy Awards are scheduled for February 2nd in Los Angeles, and during this broadcast, they’ll be raising money for wildfire disaster relief.
The live broadcast of the show will originate from the Crypto.com Arena, with Beyoncé being the frontrunner having received 10 nominations. Besides Beyoncé, other artists who have multiple Grammy nominations include Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and Chappell Roan.
In a letter sent out on Monday, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Tammy Hurt, chair of the board of trustees, expressed their deep sympathy for everyone impacted by the tragic wildfires in Los Angeles. They view this city as their home, and they’re heartbroken over the loss of lives and the destruction that has occurred recently. Despite these unfortunate events, they confirmed that the 67th Grammy Awards telecast on CBS on February 2 will go ahead as scheduled. However, this year’s event will have a renewed focus: it will aim to raise extra funds for wildfire relief efforts and honor the courage and dedication of the first responders who put their lives at risk to safeguard ours.
A while back, I heard from various reliable sources that the Academy had been mulling over the possibility of pushing back the Grammys or turning it into a charity event instead, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Greetings Recording Academy Members,
Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the tragic wildfires in Los Angeles. This city is our home, and we grieve for the lives lost and properties destroyed in these recent days.
In response to this crisis, the Recording Academy and MusiCares have initiated the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with an initial $1 million donation to aid music creators and professionals. With additional contributions, we’ve already distributed over $2 million in emergency aid to those in dire need, and we remain resolute in our mission to offer ongoing support.
In close collaboration with local authorities to prioritize public safety and responsible resource allocation, the 67th GRAMMY Awards telecast on CBS on February 2nd will go on as scheduled. This year’s show will carry a renewed sense of purpose: it will aim to raise additional funds for wildfire relief efforts and honor the courage and commitment of first responders who put their lives at risk to protect ours.
In difficult times, music has an extraordinary ability to heal, comfort, and unite us. The GRAMMYs will not only celebrate the artistry and accomplishments of our musical community but also serve as a platform to amplify the resilient spirit that defines this remarkable city of Los Angeles.
With sincere concern,
Harvey Mason jr.
