Preparing for springtime, Grand Seiko has unveiled three fresh additions to its Heritage Collection. These new models are inspired by the blooming cherry blossoms of the season and include two watches featuring “hidden cherry blossom” dials, as well as a “cherry blossom in twilight” variant.
Kicking off the collection is the “Sakura-Hidden”, or SBGH368, crafted from 18k rose gold with a 38mm case size. Retailing at $31,200 USD, this non-limited edition model showcases a dial in warm pink that gleams brightly, mirroring the tranquil image of snow-dusted cherry blossoms, or sakura-kakushi. To symbolize the tree’s trunk, the watch is partnered with a brown leather strap, enhancing the calm and refined atmosphere of the dial. At its heart, the Hi-Beat 9S85 movement provides consistent precision by minimizing fluctuations in accuracy, while also offering a power reserve of 55 hours.
As a gamer, I’ve recently got my hands on two stunning timepieces – the STGK031 “Sakura-Kakushi” and the STGK033 “Sakura-Tukiyo”. These beauties sport a sleek 30mm case diameter, crafted from sturdy stainless steel. Priced at $6,400 USD, these newcomers carry on the unique bezel-free design of their predecessor, blending the crystal flawlessly with the case. The dials are a delightful homage to the enchanting blooms of early spring cherry blossoms, adding a touch of nature’s elegance to my gaming setup.
The face of STGK031 watch is bathed in a gentle silver-pink hue, reminiscent of the frosty cherry blossoms found in Japan’s Tohoku region during springtime. In contrast, STGK033 features a champagne-gold dial that captures the essence of cherry blossoms illuminated by a full moon. Both watches utilize Grand Seiko’s smallest automatic mechanical movement, the 9S27 caliber, making them the thinnest automatic Grand Seiko watches ever produced.
Starting from April 2025, these latest innovations can be found at Grand Seiko Boutiques and selected international retailers. For further details, please check out their official website.
