As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent in the mystical lands of Teer Fradee, I must say that the A Dying Forest quest in GreedFall 2: The Dying World has left an indelible mark on my journey. The Clan Hunters, a group of skilled woodsmen initially tasked with investigating the mysterious illness and wildlife decline, found themselves ensnared in a trap-filled forest.
In the sequel titled “GreedFall 2: The Perishing Realm“, the missions echo those from the original game, blending the primary plot, optional missions, and narratives centered around characters. Notably, “A Dying Forest” is a crucial piece of the main narrative, while “Clan Hunters” is one of several factions you come across during its completion.
A band of villagers ventured deep into the woods to investigate the mysterious vanishing act of local animals, but they encountered difficulties. Now it’s your task to help locate the elusive forest trackers.
How To Find The Clan Hunters in GreedFall 2: The Dying World
In the “A Dying Forest” mission, you are assigned the task of exploring a puzzling ailment affecting a tribal settlement within Teer Fradee, while also discovering what is leading to the swift deterioration of the surrounding animal population.
Originally assigned to locate the origin of the issue and gather evidence hidden within the woodland, the Clan Hunters are adept at maneuvering through the forest, yet they’ve found themselves ensnared in pitfalls. Therefore, it’s essential to find them now.
To start your quest for the Clan Hunters, have a chat with Denid in your own village first. He’ll tell you that they’ve gone into the forest to investigate strange disappearances among the wildlife. This should lead you to the Ancient Forest, which is situated south of your village. When you arrive there, make sure to switch on your tracking mode so you can follow their footprints.
At first, the path heads eastward for a brief stretch, then alters direction towards the north. Keep in mind that the tracker may not continuously display tracks following the initial set. To ensure you don’t miss them, consider turning off tracking mode and manually following the footprints on the ground instead.
As you trace the footprints, be aware that you’re approaching a perilous zone teeming with hidden pitfalls. These pitfalls may afflict a ‘bleed’ effect, continuously dealing damage, making it essential for you to either move stealthily or employ your Mechanics expertise to deactivate them.
Having safely traversed the treacherous zone filled with traps, I found myself witnessing a fierce struggle between Clan Hunters Roarg and Berag, and a pack of wolves. After lending them a hand by vanquishing the initial horde of wolves, another wave of these beasts emerged, necessitating a prolonged fight until every last one was defeated.
It turns out that they’re stuck in snares themselves. You’ll have to choose whether to dismantle the traps yourself or ask for help from the trap experts stationed to the east. In any case, if you manage to free them, it lays the groundwork for the subsequent phase of your journey.
Here’s your guide! This will help you find the Clan Hunters and save them. For additional tips and strategies, check out our resource hub on the guides page, tailored to the games you love.
