GTA Plus Subscriptions Come To Switch Despite No GTA V

As a long-time gamer with a soft spot for the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series, I’ve spent countless hours exploring the virtual worlds created by Rockstar Games. GTA Plus, their subscription service, has been a decent addition to my gaming life, allowing me to play some of my favorite titles for a monthly fee on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms.

GTA Plus is a respectable gaming subscription, enabling fans to access some of Rockstar’s top titles for a recurring fee each month. Although the Switch may not carry GTA V, Rockstar intends to broaden the platform’s reach by introducing it to this console as well.

On Twitter, user Tez2 observed that Rockstar Games made an modification to their list of supported platforms on Twitter, adding “Nintendo Switch.” Although it’s not yet reflected on the company’s website, this update suggests that Rockstar Games’ services may soon be accessible on Nintendo’s hybrid handheld/console.

If the rumors hold true, it’s possible that GTA Plus could arrive on Nintendo Switch, allowing players to experience the current trilogy on that platform. Additionally, games such as Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars are reportedly included in this service, fueling fans’ excitement for a potential Switch release.

Although Rockstar Games offers a limited selection of titles on the Nintendo Switch, the games’ technical quality is commendable. However, some titles, like the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, have subpar ports that perform better on Netflix’s game streaming service. Nevertheless, Red Dead Redemption, which is available on the Switch and boasts a well-executed port, runs as smoothly as its PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts.

As an avid gamer and Switch user, I’ve been excited to see numerous gaming companies considering bringing their subscription services to our beloved platform. Rockstar’s GTA Plus isn’t the only one exploring this possibility. In fact, there were whispers that Microsoft was planning to bring Xbox Game Pass to the Switch, but unfortunately, it didn’t materialize yet.

As a long-time fan of Rockstar Games and a proud owner of a Nintendo Switch, I’m eagerly waiting to learn if their plans for bringing more of their titles to our beloved console will come to fruition. With the announcement of the Switch 2, my excitement is heightened as this new system promises greater capabilities that could potentially run games like Grand Theft Auto V smoothly.

Currently, GTA Plus can be accessed on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. It’s uncertain if this service will be offered on the Nintendo Switch at this point.
