Gwyneth Paltrow is speaking openly about her use of alcohol during the tragic wildfires in Los Angeles.
During her latest chat with Dr. Mary Claire Haver, a recognized expert in obstetrics, gynecology, menopause treatment, and author of the book “The New Menopause“, the Academy Award-winning actress opened up about personal topics. This conversation took place on the popular podcast, The Goop Podcast.
Currently, I’m dealing with quite a lot, which makes me feel scattered,” Paltrow explained about her menopause symptoms. “However, I’ve found that my symptoms are generally manageable, except for a few instances like when the fires were in LA last January. During that time, I’ve used alcohol for its intended purpose, essentially using it as a form of medication.
Actress from “Iron Man”, Gwyneth Paltrow, revealed that although she and her husband, Brad Falchuk, personally escaped the destructive January fires in Pacific Palisades and Altadena, numerous friends of theirs suffered immense losses. In the wake of this profound sadness caused by the fires, Paltrow confessed that she turned to alcohol every night.
As for me, I typically abstain from alcohol altogether, having just a drink or two maybe once a week. However, I discovered that my menopausal symptoms became unmanageable when I was drinking nightly. It was the first instance where I truly recognized a direct cause-and-effect relationship.
In response, he stated, “Many of my patients share similar sentiments. They’ve unexpectedly found themselves reducing their alcohol intake or quitting entirely because they simply find it not rewarding anymore. They notice they don’t rebound as effectively. Alcohol seems to linger in our system for a longer period.
As a gamer, I was hit hard by the devastating wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles. Countless celebs and regular folks like me lost their homes and livelihoods, while the tragic loss of life claimed at least 29 souls. It’s an awful reminder of nature’s raw power.
