Bobby Deol has been a highly respected and adored actor in Bollywood. He is the child of the renowned actor Dharmendra and is himself a proud parent to two sons, Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol. As the actor turns 56 years old, we look back at a heartfelt revelation by the star known as ‘Animal’, where he admitted to having some reservations in his relationship with his father that are not present between him and his children.
During a previous conversation with Zoom, Bobby Deol was questioned about his father and renowned actor Dharmendra’s statement that Bobby was less open about sharing things compared to his elder brother Sunny Deol. In response, the actor explained that their dynamics during childhood were distinct.
As a devoted follower, I acknowledge the importance of maintaining a certain level of respect and adhering to boundaries when interacting with my parents. I found that while it’s acceptable to have disagreements with my mother, there seems to be a unique bond with my father that doesn’t allow for such arguments. There was a pause, as if searching for the right words, but I observed that this isn’t the case with me and my children.
In my passionate fervor as a die-hard fan, let me clarify something: The birthday hero unequivocally asserted that his father wasn’t to blame for his upbringing, but rather a product of the circumstances. Contrarily, he self-proclaimed as an open-minded soul who never hindered his beloved Tanya Deol from pursuing her career. “I had no intention of suppressing her or making her feel inferior. I declared, ‘I am who I am because my wife stood by me; it’s merely that I’m incredibly fortunate,'” he continued.
During the same discussion, Bobby expressed his thoughts on parenting, suggesting it isn’t something that can be explicitly taught. Instead, he views it as a skill one acquires over time. He gave an example by saying he thought he wouldn’t repeat the mistakes his parents made when raising him, but acknowledged that he likely made errors of his own that his children might choose to avoid in the future.
Professionally, Bobby Deol is currently basking in the success of his recent production, “Daaku Maharaaj,” which is being helmed by Nandamuri Balakrishna.
