Frank Ferguson, who leads the CPS’ special division for crime and counter-terrorism, stated: “After examining the evidence in this particular case, the CPS has chosen to halt the criminal proceedings against Harvey Weinstein… The CPS is obligated to regularly assess all cases, and we have determined that there is no longer a viable chance of securing a conviction.”
