Has Sanjay Dutt been dropped from Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar 2 due to UK visa rejection? Find out who replaced him

As a fervent admirer of the Bollywood industry and its dynamic cast, I find myself deeply saddened by the recent turn of events surrounding Sanjay Dutt‘s exclusion from Son of Sardaar 2. The man has an undeniable charm and charisma that lights up the screen whenever he appears, and his absence is indeed going to be a noticeable void in this much-anticipated sequel.

In 2012, Son of Sardaar captured the affection of audiences, and now, more than a decade later, anticipation builds for its sequel. Originally, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, and Mrunal Thakur were chosen for the project, with Ms. Thakur taking on the female lead role. However, recent news indicates that Mr. Dutt will not be involved in the film due to difficulties obtaining a UK visa. Instead, Ravi Kishan has stepped into his place.

It was planned for Sanjay Dutt to play the villain in Son of Sardaar 2, alongside Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur. However, according to Mid-day’s report, Dutt has been removed from the film currently being shot in Scotland because his application for a UK visa was denied due to his past imprisonment history. It appears that he has encountered similar issues with obtaining a UK visa in the past as well.

According to reports, there might be potential visa complications for Sanjay Dutt that could impact the filming of Housefull 5, set to commence in London in September. However, when asked if producer Sajid Nadiadwala would need to find a substitute for Dutt, the source stated that Nadiadwala has opted for a more cautious approach. Instead of shooting Dutt’s scenes with the rest of the cast in London, they will film his parts in Mumbai, ensuring no issues related to his participation.

In April of 1993, Sanjay Dutt was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) and the Arms Act due to illegal firearm possession linked to individuals involved in the 1993 Bombay bombings. He was eventually convicted of breaching the Arms Act. His sentence was five years in prison, which was later upheld by the Supreme Court in March 2013. After several periods of bail and serving out his full term, he was freed from prison in 2016.

Originally, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt were planned to reappear as characters Billu and Jassi in the second installment of Son of Sardaar. However, whispers suggested that instead of continuing the story from where it ended in the first movie, the sequel might start anew.

Previously, it was exclusively disclosed by a source to TopMob that Son of Sardaar 2’s main cast will feature Vijay Raaz, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Pandey, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar, in addition to the leading actors.
