HashKey Group Plans To Introduce Ethereum Layer-2 Chain

At the 2024 Hong Kong Web3 Festival on Tuesday, HashKey Group, a digital asset services company based in Hong Kong, announced plans to launch its Ethereum Layer-2 network, named HashKey Chain, in the near future.

The company announced through a statement that HashKey’s network, which employs zero knowledge-proof technology, intends to expand the Web3 ecosystem by offering users affordable, efficient, and easy-to-use on-chain services. Within the next six months, HashKey is planning to unveil a testnet, with its mainnet launch slated for under a year’s time.

Based on the information from the company, utilizing zero-knowledge proof tech can help expand the chain’s capabilities and reduce costs. This technology offers a comprehensive developer kit and a user-friendly blockchain browser for simplicity.

According to the company’s statement in the press release, prioritizing security will forever be a top priority. This includes inviting community participation in security testing and conducting independent code reviews. Developers are expected to benefit from a secure and autonomous environment provided by HashKey, with HSK being the platform token of HashKey.

HashKey Cloud, part of theHashKey Group that specializes in web3 infrastructure, will be the power source behind HashKey Chain. Established in 2018, this company has provided node validation services for over 80 different public chains.

Following the acquisition of the required permit in Bermuda, HashKey commenced operations of its fresh cryptocurrency exchange, named HashKey Global, on a Monday. Having secured nearly $100 million through their Series A funding in January, they are gearing up for another investment round later in 2023.
