The Green Lantern series from HBO has revealed the initial appearance of the main characters, who seem reminiscent of those from True Detective. In this upcoming DCU show, Aaron Pierre portrays John Stewart and Kyle Chandler plays Hal Jordan – two well-known members of the Green Lantern Corps as depicted in the original storyline. This series, which focuses on an earthbound tale involving an extraterrestrial conspiracy, is currently under production. Given that HBO might be aiming for a True Detective atmosphere, it’s clear they achieved their goal effectively.
Here’s a sneak peek at the initial production photo from “Lanterns,” now in progress! Although John Stewart and Hal Jordan aren’t wearing their typical superhero costumes, their power rings are evidently in place. Take a look for yourself below:
