Hera Pheri 3: Suniel Shetty reacts to previous rumors of Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay Kumar; ‘Whoever else was…’

Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal are gearing up for the third film in the comedy series “Hera Pheri.” Suniel Shetty has shared his thoughts on the reunion and addressed past speculation about Kartik Aaryan possibly taking over from Akshay Kumar in “Hera Pheri 3.” He clarified that rather than replacing Akshay, if anyone else was involved, they would be playing a new character.

In a recent conversation with The Times of India, Suniel Shetty mentioned plans to team up again with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal for Hera Pheri 3. He shared that during filming, it felt like no time had passed since the initial release, which was 25 years ago.

The actor indicated that they remained unchanged, with the exception of their looks and wardrobe. They emphasized that both the director and producer, among others, had not changed. Yet, Suniel pointed out that they would sorely miss the late actor Om Puri, who played a crucial role in the original film.

During the discussion, Suniel Shetty expressed that it seemed as though they weren’t acting out roles when filming the movie. “No one else could portray those characters,” he continued.

In response to queries about speculations that Kartik Aaryan might take over Akshay Kumar’s role, Suniel clarified, “The person who was supposed to join wasn’t intended to replace anyone. He was meant to introduce a new character. However, the producers have reverted to the original script, and Hera Pheri is now ten times more entertaining!

3rd Installment of “Hera Pheri” is set to be helmed by director Priyadarshan. A promotional video starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal has allegedly been filmed and this will mark the official announcement of the movie.

In an exclusive report by TopMob, it’s been revealed that the creators plan to launch the movie in cinemas during 2026. Previously, actor Paresh Rawal, known for his role as Babu Bhaiya, has also suggested a theatrical release for the same year.

A social media user responded to his post on the trailer for the remake of “Andaz Apna Apna,” saying, “We’re eagerly anticipating Babu Bhaiya Mr. Teza.” He was referring to their characters from “Hera Pheri” and “Andaz Apna Apna.” Rawal answered, “Soon, soon! Before the next rainy season!” suggesting a possible release timeframe for “Hera Pheri 3.
