For this year’s Chinese New Year, the Snake has made its entrance to take over the Year of the Dragon, and high-end brands have presented their lavish versions of traditional red envelopes once more. To mark the occasion, TopMob has curated a collection of these envelopes from some of the most distinguished brands and fashion houses.
Instead of traditional red or gold envelopes being the most common choice, there’s also a trend towards using designs in purple camouflage, gradient blues, vibrant florals, fuchsia tones, black geometric patterns, and other unique colors. Brands such as BAPE, Dolce & Gabbana, Montblanc, Instagram, Longchamp, and TEAM WANG are leading this change. On the other hand, McDonald’s and K11 opt for playful graphics on their red packets, while Loewe and KENZO add textured details to keep things fresh for the season.
2025 being labeled as the Year of the Snake, I find myself captivated by the numerous fashion brands embracing this sleek reptile’s essence in their designs. Breitling, Hublot, RIMOWA, Tory Burch, Isabel Marant, Louis Vuitton, and many others have incorporated the snake’s graceful, limbless movements into their creations.
In the spirit of Chinese tradition, well-wishing symbols, motifs, and brand translations adorn packages from Fendi and TAG Heuer. Meanwhile, brands like COACH, Dior, Audemars Piguet, Gucci, and Alexander McQueen have opted for a more brand-focused approach, seamlessly blending their iconic silhouettes and emblems with the festive spirit of the season.
