In general, most renovation projects have proceeded smoothly, save for a minor incident involving Michael Bublé’s medical scan post-demolition. This might be due to the assistance provided by celebrities who are renovating properties for their loved ones. However, during an interview with TV Insider, it was mentioned that Anthony Anderson, star of ‘black-ish’, suffered a minor injury in Season 4. The topic under discussion was whether celebrities have ever hesitated to perform tasks potentially hazardous. When asked if they had ever encountered such reluctance, Drew replied negatively, stating that safety is always prioritized, which is why the celebrities trust their team. Jonathan then added:

A medical professional is available on-site should any problems arise. So far, touch wood, we’ve only experienced a single injury incident. Anthony Anderson accidentally pinched his finger while installing hardwood floors. The board he struck caused his finger to be sandwiched between two boards. Consequently, there was profuse bleeding. It was quite a distressing sound when he let out that shriek.

Despite the shock and likely sight of some of his own blood that the ex-contestant from The Masked Singer might have experienced, it’s clear Drew and Jonathan aren’t mean-spirited individuals (after all, who wouldn’t appreciate Jonathan’s themed Scottish proposal to Zooey Deschanel?). Given their friendly nature, they felt comfortable making light of Anderson’s situation since everything eventually turned out well. Granted, I can imagine that even a humorous actor like Anderson himself might find it amusing now, but initially, his reaction—a worried “shriek”—was understandable.
