As a lifelong fan of Himesh Reshammiya, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of loss and sorrow at the passing of his father, Vipin Reshammiya. His contributions to the music industry, not just as a producer but also as a mentor to his talented son, were immense.

Sadly, Himesh Reshammiya’s father, Vipin Reshammiya, has passed away. He departed from this world on September 18 at 8:30 pm, at the age of 87. Vipin was a renowned music director and producer who spent his final days in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. According to reports, he had been battling breathing difficulties and other health problems related to old age.

As reported by The Times of India, Himesh Reshammiya’s close acquaintance, the fashion designer Vanita Thapar, confirmed the passing of Himesh’s father, Vipin Reshammiya. In conversation with ETimes, she shared that he had been experiencing issues with his breathing.

Thapar stated that the fashion designer is more like a family to them and that she would share a fatherly bond with the later music director, Vipin Reshammiya. “I used to call him papa since the time he was making TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed in his footsteps…” she told the portal.

It is said that Vipin’s funeral ceremony will take place on September 19 in Juhu, Mumbai. The Reshammiya family plans to bring his body home shortly.

For those not familiar, Vipin Reshammiya served as producer for The Xpose (2014) and Teraa Surroor (2016). Notably, both films starred his son, Himesh Reshammiya. It’s said that Himesh previously disclosed a fascinating anecdote about his father Vipin Reshammiya and Salman Khan collaborating on a film, which is how the singer first crossed paths with the superstar.
