R. Madhavan’s gripping social drama titled Hisaab Barabar, produced by Jio Studios and SP Cinecorp, made its debut at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on November 26, 2024. The film is now getting ready for its streaming platform release. Directed by Ashwni Dhir, Hisaab Barabar skillfully blends humor, satire, and profound emotions to address the prevalent issue of financial fraud. The story revolves around an ordinary man’s courageous struggle to expose a massive billion-dollar scam in a corporate bank.

In a more casual and straightforward way: R Madhavan plays Radhe Mohan Sharma, a diligent railway ticket inspector who finds a mysterious discrepancy in his bank statement. At first, he thinks it’s just a minor problem, but soon enough, it becomes clear that this is a significant investigation. It uncovers a massive financial fraud scheme masterminded by a powerful banker named Micky Mehta, portrayed by Neil Nitin Mukesh.

In his struggle against longstanding corruption, Radhe finds himself dealing with personal hurdles as well. He learns the hard way that unlike balancing a bank account, mending broken relationships isn’t something you can do with simple mathematical equations.

Enriching the complex narrative of this tale is actress Kirti Kulhari, portraying a crucial character as the film delves into issues of justice, morality, and the individual sacrifice required when fighting for what is just.
