HMD Taps Venom' in Upcoming Customizable Fusion Smartphone

As a seasoned gamer and tech enthusiast with a soft spot for Marvel characters, I can’t help but be absolutely thrilled about the HMD Fusion smartphone! Growing up with Venom as one of my favorite antiheroes, this symbiotic device feels like a dream come true. The idea of merging my phone’s functionality and aesthetics with iconic characters is not only innovative but also deeply satisfying for someone who’s always yearned for the perfect fusion of entertainment and technology.

HMD Global recently revealed an extraordinary phone called the Fusion, modeled after the idea of symbiosis, similar to Marvel’s popular anti-hero Venom. This unique smartphone enables users to combine their devices seamlessly by swapping out “Smart Covers,” instantly altering both its features and look in real life.

As a gaming enthusiast excited about the U.S. debut of “Venom: The Last Dance,” I can’t help but share the thrill over HMD’s unique creation – three exclusive Smart Outfits for my device, showcased at an exclusive pop-up event on October 20 and set to dazzle on the red carpet at the film’s premiere on October 21. These outfits embody Venom’s dark allure, with custom notification sounds and visuals drawn straight from the movie, like the phrase “We are Venom” when my device boots up. Each outfit includes an innovative integration of 160 electromagnetic arrays controlling a liquid – ferrofluid – in a glass chamber that attaches to my phone via six pins. When activated, this outfit not only changes my phone’s physical appearance but also alters its software, mirroring the powerful bond between Venom and Eddie Brock.

You can now pre-order the HMD Fusion smartphone on their official webstore, and as a bonus, you’ll find exclusive Venom-themed wallpapers to download. Regrettably, the limited-edition Venom costumes won’t be up for sale. However, keep an eye out for upcoming Smart Outfits, with new models rolling out soon, followed by more sophisticated versions due in 2025.
