‘Hollywood Squares’ to Get Daytime Run on CBS

CBS is making a strong effort to showcase its revamped edition of “Hollywood Squares” to audiences, even those who typically watch television during the daytime.

Starting January 27th, I’m excited to share that I’ll be tuning in daily for a whole week to catch “Hollywood Squares,” hosted by Nate Burleson and featuring Drew Barrymore on the center square! Airing at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT, this classic game show will air encores of primetime episodes, filling in for “The Price Is Right” repeats in CBS’ daytime schedule. But don’t worry, new episodes of “The Price Is Right” will still air earlier in the day. In some markets, “Hollywood Squares” will even act as a warm-up for Drew Barrymore’s daytime talk show! Can’t wait to join you all in this fun-filled week!

Following an encouraging kickoff during its prime-time debut, the daytime edition of “Hollywood Squares” saw viewership growth. The initial broadcast on January 16 attracted 4.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched program across all networks that evening. A subsequent episode on January 19, bolstered by a massive lead from CBS’ NFL playoffs coverage, surged to 7.86 million viewers – the largest audience for a non-sports show during primetime the previous week.

Starting January 29th, the popular primetime TV show “Hollywood Squares” will shift to Wednesday evenings. This change will align it with a full schedule of game shows, including “The Price Is Right at Night” and “Raid the Cage”.

Barrymore and Jesse Collins are the executive producers of Hollywood Squares.
