At long last, the eagerly anticipated trailer for Housefull 5 is out, and it’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala who added an unforeseen twist at its launch event. As we approach the highly-anticipated premiere of this comedy franchise’s fifth installment on June 6, 2025, Nadiadwala disclosed a unique element: the film will offer two distinct endings. He has now expressed his excitement about exploring multiple resolutions for this entertaining comedy.
Sajid Nadiadwala on dual endings of Housefull 5
At the premiere of Housefull 5, producer Sajid Nadiadwala revealed that for almost 30 years, he’s been contemplating the concept of multiple endings for films. He mused about creating a thriller and what unique aspect would set it apart, as well as how audiences might respond if the villain’s identity was kept hidden right up until the final moments.
According to previous reports from TopMob, the creators of Housefull 5 have presented two distinct variations of the movie to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for approval.
In my professional opinion, I found myself intrigued by the unique nature of the comic-thriller that had been hailed as a standout production. Not only did I get the chance to preview two different takes on this project, but I also learned that they were both scrutinized by the board before ultimately earning a U/A rating.
Although the exact motive for approving two separate revisions remained confidential, insiders connected to the production hinted that producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who penned the story and script, was devising an unusual move intended to surprise not just viewers but also the film industry.
The report also mentioned that it’s possible Housefull 5 could earn two censorship certificates, a situation that usually applies to very few movies. The reasoning for this choice will likely become clearer as the release date approaches.
Furthermore, it came to light that this movie boasted an extensive cast of 24 actors and clocked in at approximately 2 hours and 43 minutes, marking it as the longest film within the series.
Although maintaining its characteristic disorderliness and perplexity, the narrative structure of the series is reportedly unprecedented, offering an innovative spin on the familiar humor that the franchise is renowned for.
During the discussion, Fardeen Khan mentioned that the twists in the movie were kept a secret from the entire cast, as they only learned about them after completing filming. Sajid Nadiadwala concurred and added that only half of the actors involved in the production are aware of the identity of the murderer to preserve the mystery of the crime.
Under the guidance of director Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 promises a blend of laughter and intrigue set on a lavish cruise ship. As suggested by the trailer, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan find themselves at the center of a mystery involving a murder, with each appearing to be a prime suspect.
The upcoming film showcases a highly acclaimed group of actors like Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Panday, and others. It’s scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 6th.
